Earth Day 2012

Melvita is committed to protecting the primary forest: the "lungs of the Earth". In Peru, it is supporting local farmers in their work to replant and protect the forest. And to assist in this company initiative, the Melvita Foundation is funding training for Peruvian farmers in beekeeping. This will really help bees, biodiversity, and the farmers – whose crops will be pollinated, and who will be able to sell the honey they make.

The only thing that remains to be done is to provide the beehives!

To mark Earth Day 2012, Melvita is taking action once again, and will donate 10% of profits from the Apicosma range to establishing beehives.
